Turkish Airlines Flights
Turkish Airlines, also known as THY, was formerly known as Devlet Hava Yollar Isletmesi when it was established in 1933. Fesa Evrensev, one of Turkey’s first pilots, served as THY’s general manager during this time, when the company had only 5 aircraft and fewer than 30 employees. In 1947, there was the first ever international flight between Istanbul and Athens.
Turkish Airlines became the company’s new name in 1955, the same year it joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Turkish Airlines, one of the airlines that flies the most, flies to over 120 countries and has more than 377 aircraft as of today. You should be aware of the following when traveling with THY!
