Traveling with Kids

Lufthansa gives priority to families who are traveling together and does its best to make sure families are seated together.
Lufthansa offers a children's menu. The children's meal can be booked at no extra cost on all long-haul flights. You can book online or by calling Lufthansa Service Center. You must call at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled flight.
If you would like a bassinet for long-haul flights you can call Lufthansa Service Center and request one ahead of time. There might be a fee associated with the bassinet depending on ticket type.
Strollers can be checked at the gate or upon check-in.
Traveling with Pets
Lufthansa allows small dogs and cats weighing up to 8kg including their carrier to fly in the main cabin. You must bring a signed “form for transporting an animal in the passenger cabin”.
Larger dogs and cats can be transported in the cargo hold for an additional price. The animals must be in a crate compliant with IATA regulations.
Service or guide dogs are welcome in the main cabin free of charge.
Each passenger is allowed to take a maximum of 2 animals with them in the main cabin or cargo hold.
