If you are wondering where you might have seen Atlantic Road before, many car companies and tire companies use it to shoot their ads on this road. Atlantic Road ties the cities of Molde and Kristiansund. The road runs through an Archipelago and has breathtakingly beautiful views along the way. The road is around 5.2 miles long, has twists and turns and bridges. The road also happens to be one of the most dangerous roads. 

You can’t not talk about Lysebotn Road while talking about Norway. The road is in the high mountains of Rogaland and Vest Agder. High up on the mountains with beautiful views. Lysebotn is most known for its 27 sharp curves. One of the curves is located in the tunnel located in one of the mountains along the way. The roads are very well maintained but since they are still very dangerous it’s closed during the winter months. 

The Overseas Highway connects the mainland and the island Florida Keys. It is one of the most scenic drives in the world. The highway has been open to road travel since 1928. The highway is 113 miles long and 15% of the ride are bridges! There are 18.8 miles of bridges. The highway takes roughly 4 hours to drive one way. You will feel like you are driving on the ocean. Pro-tip, if you do your drive during sunrise or sunset the view will be even more breathtaking. 

Transfagarasan Highway is also known as the "road that leads to the sky". Rent a car from Transylvania and head to the Fagaras mountains. It’s considered one of the most special roads on the planet. The road passes over the Fagaras mountains in Transylvania with the highest point of the drive being at 7000ft. The road is not for the inexperienced or the faith-hearted. It has a lot of windy points and no barriers to protect you from falling down 1000 ft drops. When planning your trip, give yourself extra time. Calculating by mileage simply doesn’t work on this road. The road is also used by shepherds, you will most likely see big flocks of sheep. The road is only open from June to October.

Stelvio Pass is another road with incredible, unbelievable views. It goes without saying that this road too is dangerous. There are 75 hairpin turns located on the road. Stelvio Pass is located at the northwest base of the Ortles mountain range. The pass is close to the Swiss border. The road was designed by Carlo Donegani and the construction began in 1820. Every year on the last Saturday of August or the first Saturday of September the road is closed for bikers only. On this day 12,000 bikers come to ride. There is also a Stelvio Marathon organized every year. The road also closes during the winter months. You can rent a car in Isolaccia or San Nicolo. 

Col de Turini is a mountain pass in the Alps. It is 5272 ft above the Mediterranean sea. It is located in the Alpes-Maritimes. The road includes a series of hairpin turns. The road is closed at night and in the winter months. The best drivers in rally history have come here to show off their moves. The road is also one of the most famous balcony roads. Balcony roads are those with cliffs on the side therefore the drive leaves very little room for error. The Col has also been a destination for the Tour de France.
